Fire Safety Awareness 

Course Goal/Description

To raise awareness of fire safety in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

LO1 - Explain the roles and responsibilities of the employer and employees in relation to fire prevention;

LO2 - Explain how a fire starts and spreads (include the fire triangle plus conduction, convection, radiation, and direct burning);

LO3 - Identify potential fire hazards;

LO4 - Identify different fire prevention measures;

LO5 - Describe the fire classes and different types of fire-fighting extinguishers (include regional differences);

LO6 - Explain the purpose of fire risk assessment;

LO7 - Describe how to restrict the spread of fire and smoke;

LO8 - Explain the actions to take in an emergency
